What does the PR do?

Bumps the pinned DCGM version from 4.7.0-1 to 4.7.0-2 in build.py (dcgm_version), compose.py (fallback dcgm_version), and Dockerfile.sdk (DCGM_VERSION).

The CUDA apt repo now publishes 4.7.0-2, so the unpinned dependencies (libdcgm, dcgmi, nv-hostengine, ...) resolve to -2. Meanwhile datacenter-gpu-manager-4-core/-dev stay pinned to =1:4.7.0-1, which requires libdcgm (= 1:4.7.0-1). apt then fails with exit code 100 ("held broken packages"), which breaks the py3-base image build. Per discussion with @mc-nv, we track the latest DCGM release.

Where should the reviewer start?

build.py dcgm_version, then compose.py and Dockerfile.sdk.

Test plan:

  • I checked that datacenter-gpu-manager-4-core and datacenter-gpu-manager-4-dev 1:4.7.0-2 are published in the CUDA ubuntu2404 apt repo for both x86_64 and sbsa.

  • Still to do: a py3-base / py3-sdk build in a dl/dgx/tritonserver CI pipeline.

  • CI Pipeline ID: TBD

Caveats:

None.

Background

The failure was seen in the dl/dgx/tritonserver py3-base job: datacenter-gpu-manager-4-dev : Depends: libdcgm (= 1:4.7.0-1) but 1:4.7.0-2 is to be installed.

[High impact] The PR appears safe to merge; no actionable issue was found in the three version changes.

Summary

Updates the DCGM default from 4.7.0-1 to 4.7.0-2 in the server build, composed-image fallback, and SDK Dockerfile.

  • Keeps the core and development packages pinned to the same revision.
  • Preserves the DCGM version declared by an existing source image.
  • No actionable issues found. Image builds were not run.
