- Bump pinned version to 1.8.0 (.env image tag to 1.8.0.1). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
# Conflicts: # .env # Dockerfile
TheengsDecoder 2.5.0 has no piwheels wheel yet, so pip builds it from source. In an isolated build env that pulls the piwheels cmake wheel, which is armhf and cannot run on the arm/v6 (armel) image. Install the decoder first without build isolation so it uses the apt cmake. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Upstream release: https://github.com/theengs/gateway/releases/tag/v1.8.0 (RSSI sensor + diagnostic entity_category in HA discovery, BLE event loop fix for Python 3.14+, Theengs Decoder 2.5.0). No new config options, so
start.sh/ README are unchanged. The first CI run failed on arm/v6 because piwheels had no TheengsDecoder 2.5.0 wheel yet and the source build pulled an armhf
cmake. piwheels now publishes the 2.5.0 wheels, so no Dockerfile workaround is needed.Testing
import TheengsGatewayworks on amd64, arm64, 386 and arm/v7.onlineonhome/TheengsGateway/LWT.Known issue (pre-existing, not fixed here)
The arm/v6 image builds but doesn't run under QEMU: native deps (TheengsDecoder, pycryptodomex) come from armhf piwheels wheels that don't load on the armel base image. The currently published
theengs/gateway:latest(1.7.5) arm/v6 image has the same problem.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
