Split view could stretch images and bounce them upward after opening, while a renderer crash during a streamed save could leave the board locked until the app restarted. This fixes both: the canvas keeps its scale through the full transition, and abandoned save sessions release their handles and file reservations after active writes safely finish.
Prepares RefBoard 2.1.4 with matching app/installer versions, release notes, and an artifact verifier for packaged source, installer payload, and update-feed hashes. Updates three obsolete smoke-test assumptions around toolbar fades, WebContentsView targeting, and clipboard PNG encoding.
Validation:
Actual installation/upgrade, live auto-update, and dropping into another native application remain manual checks before publication. See docs/RELEASE_AUDIT.md. The release will remain a draft.
