When using Firebird to send an email, the only way to attach a file is to attach more than one file; otherwise, it won't be attached.
Also, when attaching multiple files, the Android pop-up asking you to select the app you want to use to send the email shows many more app options.
I tested this with version 7.0.0 and now with version 10.0.0, and the behavior is the same in both versions.
