Short, fast Cursor replies. Exact code and errors. No proxy, no account. One install covers every local project.
Cursor sends the whole thread back on every turn: your messages, the agent's replies, and tool results. Filler is paid twice — once when it is generated, then again on every later message.
Agents default to long prose: pleasantries, hedging, "let me look at that." That text is mostly unused. Code, errors, and file reads still have to be exact, so you cannot shrink those.
Brisk is a local skill that cuts the chat text and leaves the rest alone. No proxy, no extra model, no per-project setup.
cd ~/Desktop/brisk
node bin/brisk.mjs addReload Cursor (Cmd+Shift+P → Developer: Reload Window), then type /brisk in chat.

The skill is available in every project. To apply it in every chat without /brisk:
node bin/brisk.mjs add --always- Paste the printed text into Cursor Settings → Rules → User Rules
/brisk lite · /brisk full (default) · /brisk off or normal mode
This only shrinks what the agent says. It does not compress files, logs, or tool results.
Code, errors, and identifiers stay exact. The skill keeps a sentence if dropping it would change what you should do; it cuts padding. It can still mis-classify. Too thin: /brisk lite or normal mode. Details: doc/how-it-works.md.
/brisk is a skill in the Agent panel. A User Rule from --always applies in every mode.
| Mode | Chat text | What stays full |
|---|---|---|
| Agent | Short replies, no "let me look at that" | Code, diffs, tool results, commits |
| Ask | Short answers | Quoted code and errors (read-only) |
| Plan | Short chat while researching | The plan you review (persisted, readable) |
Switching modes starts a new context. Type /brisk again in that chat, or use the User Rule so you do not have to.
See doc/how-it-works.md for install details, chat usage, and how the skill is applied.
