RFC: Support for synchronous messaging

Do you intend to implement synchronous messaging? I can see in the roadmap it isn't yet supported for PactNet, if you intend to support it do you have a rough idea when this will be?

For those in the future, the intent is to support it. See #551. Thanks for raising @evoclint .

I believe #551 only supports Synchronous Messaging for plugin interactions, however we should also support a basic interface that doesn't require a transport via plugins.
