- SCP-5049 is a dangerous, uncontained phenomenon centered around "Demon Dan's Discount Homunculus Depot," a pocket dimension accessible through ordinary doorways. This dimension sells human bodies, referred to as "homunculi," for various purposes like business, tactical use, or even as celebrity lookalikes. Access to this dimension is granted after watching a two-minute infomercial, SCP-5049-2, which can interrupt television broadcasts and features a green-skinned, hoofed entity named "Demon Dan" (SCP-5049-A). After watching the infomercial, the nearest doorway becomes a temporary portal to the depot for 15 minutes. Individuals who enter are often harvested for their bodies or body parts to create new homunculi. The Foundation tries to monitor broadcasts and apprehend individuals who have seen the infomercial, but containment is difficult as the main entity, Demon Dan, was replaced after an interview, and the origin of the broadcasts remains unknown.
