Add check-keycloak-version.sh to keycloak-artemis - #214
Conversation
Confirming the installed Keycloak version inside the keycloak-artemis image required a manual build + a throwaway container with the entrypoint overridden to `sleep infinity` (so it doesn't try to boot Keycloak against a real DB) to read version.txt and the keycloak-core/ keycloak-server-spi jar names. Script this so it's repeatable: builds the image, starts/tears down the throwaway container automatically, and prints the version info. - Line 42: Update the JAR discovery command to match only files named
keycloak-server-spi or keycloak-core with a .jar extension, excluding
directories and unrelated server artifacts while preserving the existing search
and sorting behavior.
- Line 37: Update check-keycloak-version.sh to capture the output of the docker
exec version check and assert that it exactly matches the expected Keycloak
version 16.1.1, returning a nonzero status with a clear failure message when it
differs.
- Around line 21-32: Update the cleanup flow around cleanup and the docker run
startup so it tracks the container ID returned by docker run and removes only
that created container on exit. Remove the pre-start docker rm calls and guard
cleanup when no container ID has been recorded, preserving the existing image
build and throwaway-container behavior.

- Track the container by the ID docker run returns instead of a fixed name, so cleanup can't forcibly remove an unrelated pre-existing container sharing that name. - Capture the version.txt output and assert it contains the expected version (default 16.1.1, overridable as a second arg), exiting non-zero on mismatch instead of only printing it. - Restrict the jar search to -type f keycloak-core*.jar / keycloak-server-spi*.jar, excluding directories and unrelated keycloak-server-* artifacts the broader glob was matching.
