I will have to give it a try. I can't do that right now, but I'll follow up when possible and provide feedback.

(I am testing the labwc way with Wayland in a Virtualbox VM, in an Ubuntu derivative branded with Openbox, and the thing is in the host machine that has Xfce, the HiDPI and fractional scaling have gone awol after some gtk packages updates. It needs fixing before I can do anything else).
