The GUI no longer intercepts every mouse click. That path grew app.py past 1k lines, bound CustomTkinter private widgets, and left deselect_textboxes calling a renamed method that no longer exists. Click-to-browse stays on the dropzone title and subtitle. Browse is only the Browse button. The API key link is a CTkButton with command=.

--resume now actually controls resume. The parser previously auto-resumed whenever an output file existed. The GUI still passes resume=True. CLI matches the README: resume only with the flag.

parse_page_range and count_chunk_requests are public so the GUI does not import underscored helpers. Free-tier model filtering uses one helper. Chunk progress is a queue message, not a log scrape.

app.py is 981 lines. 53 tests passed.

bind_all plus after(10) workarounds made App grow past 1k and hid a
broken rename. Drop that event model, expose parse helpers, and gate
resume on the public flag so CLI matches its documented contract.
