### 11. Align FIPLEG aquifer reporting with the current coarse-grid boundaries

**Status: implemented; CIRRUS INIT check pending.** Outdated definition
**Status: implemented; global-grid `.INIT` verified on CIRRUS (2026-10-20); LGR
array and aquifer transfer interpretation not checked.** Outdated definition
reported by the user (2026-10-12): FIPLEG 5 was intended to identify aquifer
cells with multiplied pore volume. The aquifer representation moved to the
outer edges of the coarse grid, but region 5 stayed on the bottom

or physical properties, and CIRRUS INIT/summary checks confirm the corrected
zonation and aquifer-related transfer interpretation.

**CIRRUS evidence (user-reported, 2026-10-20):** the global `FIPLEG` array of a
case generated after the change, read from its `.INIT`, on a `20 x 20 x 63` grid
(7 water, 16 overburden, 40 reservoir layers): region 1 had 2800 cells
(`k 1-7`), region 2 had 6400 (`k 8-23`), region 3 had 12960 (`i, j 2-19`,
`k 24-63`) and region 5 had 3040. Region 5 was exactly the 76 outer columns of
the grid in layers 24-63, and the four regions add up to all 25200 cells with no
overlap and no remaining region 4. Not checked: the second (LGR) `FIPLEG` array
in the same `.INIT`, other grid sizes, and any summary or transfer vector that
uses region 5.

### 12. Run only new or unfinished workbook cases

**Status: basic version implemented (2026-10-20); the rest is open.**
