Eleven of the twelve alerts on the extension's lockfile are transitive
and had patched releases waiting: extract-zip, browserslist, nanoid,
postcss-selector-parser and baseline-browser-mapping came up on a plain
audit fix. The critical one and the vite path traversals behind it are
vitest's, which was still on 1.x; 5.0.0 is the first release clear of
both, and the 90 core tests, the typecheck and a chrome-mv3 build all
pass on it. It does want Node 22.12 or newer.

adm-zip is the one left standing. Every release from 0.5.9 to the
current 0.6.0 is vulnerable and there is no patched version, so npm's
"fix" is a downgrade to 0.5.8 — which reintroduces the older traversal
that 0.5.9 was published to fix. The pin in overrides stays where it is
until upstream ships something. It reaches us through wxt's Firefox
dev-run tooling and needs a hostile zip to matter.
