## [Unreleased]
## [0.1.1] - 2026-06-06

### Added
- Added package-level documentation (`doc.go`) to all public packages and `internal/netutil`.
- Added mockable, deterministic unit tests for input validation in `pkg/discovery`.
- Added `macos-latest` to GitHub Actions CI workflow to validate POSIX builds.
- Added fuzz testing (`FuzzParseRange`) to target parsing logic to ensure resilience against malformed inputs.
- Added `os_posix_test.go` with OS-specific validations for fallback ping execution.

### Changed
- **BREAKING CHANGE**: Removed `OpenPortsCount` field from `DeviceInfo` struct to eliminate redundancy and potential state corruption. Use the new `PortCount()` method instead.
- Improved defensive timeout calculation in `StartScan` by considering concurrent port scan batches, avoiding overestimated timeouts.
- Updated minimum Go version requirement to `1.26.4` in `go.mod` and `1.26.x` in CI workflows.
- Improved `sanitizeCSVField` to block newline (`\n` / `\r`) injections and control characters within the body of CSV fields.
- Context is now explicitly propagated to blocking I/O calls (`discovery.Ping` and `ports.ScanPorts`) for immediate hard-cancellation support.

### Fixed
- Fixed pointer memory aliasing bug in `EventCallback` within `StartScan` loop, ensuring consumers receive a safe, distinct copy of `DeviceInfo`.
- Fixed `osPing` in both Windows and POSIX implementations to handle `timeoutMs <= 0` gracefully with a safe default (1000ms).
- Fixed POSIX `osPing` ignoring `timeoutMs` parameter, properly converting to whole seconds for the `-W` flag.
- Fixed POSIX `osPing` ignoring `timeoutMs` parameter, properly converting to whole seconds for the `-W` flag on Linux, and using milliseconds on macOS.

# Correções da Análise Técnica - Junho/2026 (catnet-core)

Este documento sumariza a execução do plano de ação para sanar as vulnerabilidades e melhorias técnicas apontadas especificamente para a biblioteca `catnet-core`.

## Resumo das Modificações no `catnet-core`

2. **Compatibilidade POSIX no Ping (`C1`/`M1`)**
- Corrigimos a temporização do comando `ping -W` no macOS.

3. **Sanitização Reforçada contra CSV Injection (`C3`/`M3`)**
- Em `pkg/exporter/exporter.go`, atualizamos o sanitizador CSV (`sanitizeCSVField`).
Adicionado `strings.ContainsAny(field, "\n\r")`.

4. **Tratamento de Edge Cases via Fuzzing (`C5`/`M5`)**
- Introduzimos o método nativo Fuzz (`go test -fuzz`) em `pkg/targets/parse_test.go`.

5. **Cancelamento Estrito por Context (`C2`/`M6`)**
- A biblioteca `context.

For consistency and defense-in-depth, osPing on Windows should validate that the input ip is a valid IP address before executing the external ping command, similar to the validation performed in the POSIX implementation of osPing. This prevents potential command injection vulnerabilities if osPing is ever called with untrusted input in the future.

If the context is cancelled during or immediately after the Ping call, we should avoid making subsequent blocking network calls like ReverseDNS (which performs a DNS lookup) and ScanPorts. Checking ctx.Err() == nil before proceeding to these steps ensures that the scan respects cancellation immediately and avoids wasting resources.

security-high high

Prepending a single quote (') to a field containing newlines (\n or \r) does not fully prevent CSV injection. If a naive CSV parser or spreadsheet importer splits rows on newlines before parsing cells, the second line of the field will be treated as a new row. If that second line starts with a formula trigger (like =), it will still be executed as a formula because the prepended single quote only protects the first line.

Since IP addresses, hostnames, and MAC addresses should never contain newlines, the safest and most robust approach is to replace all carriage returns and newlines with spaces (or strip them entirely) before performing the leading character check.

	field = strings.ReplaceAll(field, "\n", " ")
