Can you please give a small description of how to use the ECU emulator, do I need to use a null-modem cable to connect to it?

You need a USB-to-TTL converter, aka the well know CH340 or any other device like it

I also have a problem with the simulator.
The program receives a initialization signal.
I getting a :
"Connection established

Connection expired
From last data: 1.5"
The response from arduino is:

The response signal is a 25ms long LOW signal on a RX line to arduino. Checked it with a scope.
Might it be that my FTDI is bad? Or maybe the driver setup.
The 25ms response i automated. It does it without the python program
Also the TX diode blinks during response.
