Shattered Gaming Overlay
Shattered Gaming Overlay 1.7.0
New: Soundboard
Import audio clips and play them with a hotkey. Each clip has its own volume,
and you pick which output device they play through.
Macros
- Combo triggers. A macro can now start from a key combination, such as
Shift and R, instead of a single key. Press the keys together when setting the
trigger and it records the whole combo in one step. If you press only one key,
it works exactly as before. Your existing macros are unchanged. - Reorder steps. Each step now has small up and down arrows on its left, so
you can move steps around instead of rebuilding the macro. - Mouse movement steps. Macros can now include mouse movement steps.
- Mouse polling rate. A new Mouse setting in Settings lets you tell the app
your mouse's polling rate, which macro timing uses. - Macro step timing is more precise on Windows.
Window fixes
- Dragging the window by its title bar no longer needs a second click after the
app launches. - Resizing from the bottom-right corner now works.
- The window opens slightly wider by default, so the macro editor fits better.
If you have used the app before, it keeps your saved window size.
Reliability
- A damaged or hand-edited profiles or soundboard file no longer stops the app
from starting. The bad entry is skipped and everything else loads normally.

Shattered Gaming Overlay v1.6.2
Fixed
- A profile's window target could stop working partway through a session if the targeted game restarted while the app sat minimized (the normal way to leave it running while you play) — you'd have to reselect it manually in Settings every time. The app now keeps finding the right window on its own, continuously, no matter how long it's been minimized.
- The Delay step in Macros could run wide enough that its delete button got pushed out of view. It now fits cleanly at any value.

Shattered Gaming Overlay v1.6.1
Fixed
- A profile's saved window target could silently stop working after restarting the app or the game itself, requiring you to manually reselect it in Settings every time. The app now re-finds the right window automatically when a profile loads, as long as the game is already running.
- Two smaller reliability fixes under the hood: closed a rare timing gap that could affect macro cleanup, and fixed a delete button that could occasionally overlap another control instead of staying clearly separated.

Shattered Gaming Overlay v1.6.0
Fixed
- A Hold-mode macro could leave a key or mouse button stuck down if its trigger was released at just the wrong moment mid-playback. Macros now always clean up after themselves, no matter when you let go.
- A more serious version of that bug: if the targeted game lost focus while a Hold macro was running and you released the trigger while still tabbed away, the macro kept firing into whatever you'd switched to instead of stopping. This is fixed — losing focus now stops any running macro immediately, the same as releasing the trigger normally.
- A macro step's delete button could get pushed out of view depending on the step type, most noticeably on a Delay step. It now always stays visible in the same spot.
Added
- A profile's auto-switch target is no longer something you type by hand — it's now a searchable dropdown of whatever's currently running, so you just pick your game instead of typing its exact filename.
- Saving a profile now flashes a quick "Saved!" next to its name so you know it actually went through.

Shattered Gaming Overlay v1.5.1
Fixed
- Auto Toggle/Hold's Hold mode could misfire while a key was held down — holding a key bound to Hold on a toggle-only game action (like sprint) would rapidly turn it on and off instead of staying on for the whole hold. This was caused by Windows' own key-repeat being misread as repeated fresh presses, and is now fixed: holding a key produces exactly one action on press and one on release, no matter how long it's held.

Shattered Gaming Overlay v1.5.0
Fixed
- Profiles could sometimes both show as "Active" at the same time, and deleting one profile could accidentally take another one down with it. This is fixed for good, and if your existing profiles were already affected, the app repairs them automatically the next time it starts — nothing you need to do.
Changed
- The Remapper has been reorganized into two clear sections. Standard remaps (bind one key to another) are back to being simple and predictable — press a key, get the other key, every time.
- Toggle and Hold now live in a new "Auto Toggle/Hold" section. Toggle works like it always has: tap once to turn a key on, tap again to turn it off. Hold is new, and it actually solves what people were asking for — in games that only offer a toggle version of sprint, crouch, or similar, and won't let you rebind it (FromSoft games are the classic example), Hold now makes holding your key feel like a genuine hold, even though the game itself only understands toggle.
- Every remap and Auto Toggle/Hold entry can now be given its own name, so a long list of bindings stays easy to keep track of.

What's new
-
Profiles can now switch automatically. Set a profile to a specific
game, turn on the new option in Settings, and it loads on its own
whenever that game comes into focus -- no more remembering to switch
it yourself. -
Profiles are now shareable. Export any profile to a file and send it
to a friend, or import one they send you. Imported profiles are
always added as new, never overwrite anything you already have. -
The Stats HUD's FPS reading now shows 1% and 0.1% low numbers, plus a
small live graph, so you can see dips that a single average number
would hide. The graph has its own on/off switch, separate from FPS
itself. -
Remaps can now be set to Toggle mode: press once to turn an action
on, press again to turn it off, instead of only working while a key
is held down. Useful for things like sprint or crouch in games that
don't offer a toggle option of their own.
Fixes
- Fixed a couple of situations where a remapped key could get stuck in
the "held down" state longer than it should. - Update installs no longer leave behind extra leftover settings files
over time.

What's new
After Shattered Gaming Overlay updates itself, it will now show a short
message letting you know the update finished and asking you to start the
app again. It used to try restarting automatically, but that didn't
always work reliably, so it's more dependable to just ask you to open it
yourself once you see the message.
Also fixed an issue behind the scenes that was preventing update logs
from being saved, which will help track down any future update issues
faster.
Shattered Gaming Overlay
Fixed
- FPS in the Stats HUD could read far lower than the game's actual framerate, or briefly flicker to no reading at all, even while running smoothly. Fixed the underlying calculation and confirmed accurate against a real 60fps game.
Shattered Gaming Overlay
Fixed
- Profiles were only saving Remapper, Macros, and Window Select -- the Overlay (crosshair, Stats HUD, status indicators) was never included, so a profile you built around a specific crosshair setup would lose it every time you reloaded. Profiles now save and restore the full Overlay config too.
