[CS2] Raw HTML markup (<span class='decorated-player-name__...'>) shown in Commend and Report player dialogs #4630

Description

@qwertymarc

In the Commend and Report dialogs, the player name is displayed as raw HTML
markup instead of the plain name. The template for the decorated player name
appears as literal text in the dialog title.

Commend dialog
Title shows (Russian localization):
"Похвалить <span class='decorated-player-name__controller-name'>IMPERATOR</span>"
Expected: "Похвалить IMPERATOR"

Report dialog
Title shows:
"Reporting <span class='decorated-player-"
(the text is cut off). Expected: "Пожаловаться на IMPERATOR"
Also, the word "Reporting" is not localized, while the rest of the dialog
is in Russian.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Join a match (Premier/Competitive) with the game language set to Russian.
  2. Open the in-game menu (Esc) and select a player from the scoreboard/players list.
  3. Click Commend (or Report).
  4. Look at the dialog title.

Expected result
Only the player's name is shown in the dialog title, with no markup.

Actual result
The HTML tag with class "decorated-player-name__controller-name" is
visible as plain text. It appears in both dialogs. It looks like the
decorated-player-name template is inserted into the localized string
as escaped text, so the tags are shown instead of rendered.

Environment

  • Game: Counter-Strike 2, game version: [paste output of the version command]
  • OS: Windows [version]
  • Language: Russian
  • Game mode / server: Premier, Helsinki server (routing via Stockholm)
  • Date observed: September 24, 2026
  • Screenshots attached (2)

Notes

  • The bug appears when the player name is shown via the decorated-player-name
    component.
  • I do not know whether it depends on the player's name or their
cosmetic/decoration state. Happy to test further if needed.
