We develop numerical models, analysis tools and experimental software for research and teaching in cloud physics, aerosol–cloud interactions and atmospheric science.
Much of the software hosted here is under active development and is primarily intended for research and teaching. Individual repositories provide information on their current status, usage, licensing and validation where available.
Our work includes:
Models for investigating aerosol activation, droplet growth, ice processes and cloud microphysical evolution.
Idealised and process-based models for studying cloud development and atmospheric dynamics.
Software and hardware supporting laboratory experiments and the analysis of atmospheric observations, including cloud-particle imaging.
Numerical models used to explore atmospheric and cloud-physics concepts in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
Please check the individual repository before use. Development status, dependencies, licensing, validation and citation information may differ between projects.
If you are interested in using a model for research, please contact the relevant developer or open an issue in the appropriate repository.
These repositories are maintained as part of cloud and atmospheric research at The University of Manchester, UK.
