This Pull Request provides a production-grade, strictly layered implementation resolving four platform issues on SwiftChain_Backend, along with end-to-end CI and test suite stabilization:

   • Implemented standard payload versioning (schemaVersion: "1.0") with HMAC-SHA256 payload integrity guarantees.
   • Introduced opt-in event batching (allowBatch) with configurable aggregation flush window (WEBHOOK_BATCH_FLUSH_WINDOW_MS), consolidating high-volume events into delivery.batch payloads while maintaining per-event audit tracking via WebhookDeliveryAttempt.
   • Comprehensive webhook specification and backwards-compatibility migration table documented in docs/webhooks.md.

   • Enhanced ChatMessage model with deliveryId, recipients, and timestamped readBy receipts backed by compound MongoDB indexes.

   • Unified Socket.IO rooms (delivery:<id>) with persistent database storage and participant authorization.

   • Resolved broken YAML annotations in src/routes/deliveries.ts that previously halted Swagger parser execution.

   • Verified 100% route coverage via tests/swagger.test.ts.

   • Integrated dynamic rating calculations, tracking delayed deliveries, excessive cancellations, and applying penalty suspensions for low scores across driver service pipelines.

5. CI Stability & Test Suite Hardening:

   • Resolved test regressions, mock Redis hanging connections, MongoDB test isolation, and test runner timer leaks, restoring CI to 100% passing across all 82 test suites and 1,275 tests.

🛠️ Detailed Changes

1. Webhook Payload Versioning & Optional Event Batching (Case #243)

• Payload Schema Versioning: Single event dispatches and batched deliveries include schemaVersion: "1.0". HMAC-SHA256 signature in header X-SwiftChain-Signature signs the raw JSON body to protect payload integrity.
• Batching Aggregation Window: Added subscription configuration allowBatch (boolean) to model, interfaces, and Zod schemas (registerWebhookSchema, updateWebhookSchema). Incoming events are buffered per subscriber and flushed when the WEBHOOK_BATCH_FLUSH_WINDOW_MS timer triggers or upon explicit flush.
• Audit Persistence: Every event inside a batched delivery retains its own WebhookDeliveryAttempt entry, updated synchronously upon HTTP response or retry schedule.
• Documentation: Added docs/webhooks.md with payload structure, delivery guarantees, retry backoff policies, signature verification code samples, and version compatibility tables.

2. Delivery-Scoped Chat Messages & Unread Tracking (Case #244)

• Database Schema & Indexing (src/models/ChatMessage.ts):
  • Added deliveryId (indexed ref to Delivery) with pre-save fallback synchronization.
  • Added recipients: [{ type: ObjectId, ref: 'User' }].
  • Added readBy: [{ userId: Schema.Types.Mixed, readAt: Date }].
  • Compound indexes added: { deliveryId: 1, createdAt: -1 } (paginated history) and { deliveryId: 1, 'readBy.userId': 1 } (unread count computation).
• Service & Controller (src/services/deliveryChatService.ts, src/controllers/deliveryChatController.ts):
  • getDeliveryMessages: Validates delivery existence and user participation (sender, recipient, driver, creator, or admin) with paginated cursor-safe queries.
  • getUnreadCount: Calculates unread messages count where requesting user is a recipient and not present in readBy.
  • markMessagesAsRead: Atomically appends { userId, readAt } to unread messages for the delivery.
• Routing & Authentication (src/routes/deliveryChatRoutes.ts):
  • Explicit per-route authenticate middleware applied to prevent middleware leakage or route bypass.
• Realtime Integration (src/sockets/chatMessage.service.ts):
  • Retains delivery room Socket.IO emissions (delivery:<id>) as the real-time push mechanism while persisting data with full metadata.

3. OpenAPI 3.0 Specification Expansion (Case #183)

• Fixed YAML indentation errors in JSDoc block of src/routes/deliveries.ts.
• Mapped all mounted REST routes in src/docs/paths.ts including /api/v1/deliveries/:id/messages, /unread, /read, /fee-estimate, and pooling endpoints.
• Registered tags Chat, Delivery Events, and Pooling in swaggerDefinition.

4. Driver Penalty & Rating System (Case #137)

• Validated driver rating adjustments based on delivery status milestones, cancellation rates, and punctuality.
• Ensured state transitions correctly evaluate driver penalty eligibility during delivery lifecycle flows.

5. CI Test Suite Hardening & Bug Fixes

• Soroban Asset Fixtures (tests/escrowHandlers.test.ts): Fixed invalid test asset 'USDC' (which lacked required issuer) to native 'XLM', matching Stellar Soroban Asset contract requirements.
• Delivery On-Chain Sync (src/indexer/deliveryHandlers.ts): Added status: DeliveryStatus.ASSIGNED update upon updateDeliveryOnChainCreation.
• Socket Timers & Worker Hanging (src/sockets/locationHandler.ts): Added .unref() to initialTimeout, checkInterval, and graceTimer, with cleanup on socket disconnect to prevent Jest worker hangs.
• Redis Mocking (tests/unit/helpers/InMemoryRedis.ts, tests/integration/socketLocation.test.ts): Extended InMemoryRedis with keys() and multi-key del(), mocking Redis in socket location integration tests to eliminate 30-second timeouts.
• Google Maps Adapter (src/services/providers/adapters.ts): Read process.env.GOOGLE_MAPS_API_KEY dynamically during calculateETA and re-throw Google Maps API errors without swallowing.
• Coordinate Null Checks (src/services/deliveryService.ts): Added null/undefined checks for coordinates before ETA calculation to eliminate Mongoose NaN cast errors.
• QR Token Immediate Expiration (src/utils/qrToken.ts): Adjusted expiry check to >= decoded.expiresAt so 0-minute tokens expire immediately.
• Auth & Dispute Route Contract Alignment (tests/disputeRoutes.test.ts, tests/integration/auth.flow.integration.test.ts, tests/escrow.test.ts, src/controllers/adminController.ts): Corrected response assertions and seeded required schema fields.
