Issues

• API suggestion: Coordinate3D(x:y:) silently defaults to EPSG:3857, which makes lon/lat code compile and return wrong results

  Outdooractive/gis-tools#263 · Filter by author rmurad93 opened on Oct 10, 2026

• GeoJsonReader.geoJsonFrom(contentsOf:) always returns nil

  Outdooractive/gis-tools#262 · Filter by author rmurad93 opened on Oct 10, 2026

• asJsonData() output does not round-trip bit-exactly through the library's own parser and has no stable key order unless pretty-printed

• Features with "geometry": null (valid per RFC 7946) and malformed features are silently dropped from a FeatureCollection

  Outdooractive/gis-tools#260 · Filter by author rmurad93 opened on Oct 10, 2026

• Feature.contains and FeatureCollection.contains always return false for features whose geometry is a GeometryCollection

  Outdooractive/gis-tools#259 · Filter by author rmurad93 opened on Oct 10, 2026

• Point-in-polygon: on-boundary test uses == 0.0 on a non-robust cross product, so points exactly on an edge are often not detected

  Outdooractive/gis-tools#258 · Filter by author rmurad93 opened on Oct 10, 2026

• Polygon.contains: hole boundaries are treated opposite to the outer boundary in both ignoringBoundary modes; there is no "interior only" (OGC/GEOS contains) mode

  Outdooractive/gis-tools#257 · Filter by author rmurad93 opened on Oct 10, 2026

• Decodable conformance fails on any null: in properties and for "geometry": null

  Outdooractive/gis-tools#256 · Filter by author rmurad93 opened on Oct 10, 2026

• Codable encoding of a parsed Feature corrupts properties: true → 1, numbers and booleans inside arrays are dropped, null throws

  Outdooractive/gis-tools#255 · Filter by author rmurad93 opened on Oct 10, 2026

• GeoJSON loading is 2× slower than GEOSwift (and ~5× slower than a typed decoder); Coordinate3D size drives peak memory (worse in 3.0.0-beta.1)

• Grid shift file support (NTv2 / NADCON / OSTN15) for sub-meter datum accuracy
