About the PR
Welcome Sushi Station!
Come drink sake at the bar, relax at the onsen and eat the definitely not toxic fish straight from Space Japan at the kitchen.
The main gimmick of this station design is the "Space Asset Sorting & High-speed Inventory Movement Interface" ("S.A.S.H.I.M.I.") which allows cargo to effeciently serve every department (like a sushi restaurant, duh).
Why / Balance
SuperDicq here! I had a great time playing Boomer last night. Unfortuntaly the map pool is still a little bland because only upstream maps are available right now, so I decided to port my own map Sushi Station from the BPL14 codebase to the Boomer codebase.
Technical details
Sushi Station has been extensively tested on the BPL14 SS14 server in multiple mid/high population rounds and is in the main map rotation over there now. It should be fully playable with most if not all issues completely ironed out.
Some credit also goes to @Codubreku, for creating the map prototype file, expanding maints and tweaking various areas of the map.
Additionally thanks to the many people in my livestream chat who popped by with their own suggestions while I was mapping this.
Test plan
I played a round locally on Greenshift with
--configuration Releaseenabled and tested if everything still works expected after my edits from the porting process.Media
