Hi! I'm Ismael De Los Santos

I'm a second year Genomic Sciences undergrad at UNAM's Center for Genomic Sciences (CCG), passionate about computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, synthetic biology, inmunology, autoinmune diseases, development, neuroscience, epigenetics and the complexity of the brain.

Currently, I collaborate in research projects focused on:

  • Synthetic biology: Optimizating E. coli proteome by targeting energetic bottlenecks in the metabolimic network
  • SLE autoinmune: Transcriptomic analysis of B-cells in order to uncover the effects of risk variants assoaciated with high eqtls in systemic lupus erythematosus
