pkg_resources no longer included in setuptools 82 and newer

Describe the bug

After a fresh install of Python 3.14.5, "Setup.py" gives an error when attempting to import "pkg_resources".

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Install latest version of Python 3.14
2. Attempt to run "Setup.py"
3. Script returns error

• Datamosher Pro Version: 2.4
• Python Version: 3.14.5

Additional context

After some digging, I found that 'pkg_resources' has been deprecated and is no longer included in "setuptools" version 82.0.0 and newer

After learning that, I was able to uninstall "setuptools" and reinstall version 81.0.0 and then "Setup.py" ran successfully and Datamosher Pro launched fine.

I am fine with that workaround for now but wanted to make others aware at least.

I was able to fix this by:

• running pip uninstall setuptools
• adding setuptools==81.0.0 to requirements.txt
• running pip install -r requirements.txt
• and finally python .\Setup.py

PS: this was all in a venv
