A personal collection of Ethereum standards and improvement proposals that catch my attention during my journey as a smart contract developer.
This repository is where I keep track of the ideas, designs, and technical proposals I find worth exploring. I add the ones that interest me, study how they work, and document the concepts and insights I want to revisit.
New to Ethereum standards? Begin with the EIPs and ERCs: A Developer's Guide, which explains the proposal framework, lifecycle, standards categories, and how to evaluate standards as a developer.
The numbered folders are arranged to make the repository easy to navigate, with the introduction first and the main collections grouped afterward.
- 00 — Introduction — Start here to understand EIPs, ERCs, their lifecycle, and how to evaluate standards.
- 01 — EIPs — Selected protocol, networking, interface, and other improvement proposals worth studying.
- 02 — ERCs — Application-layer standards, contract interfaces, and interoperability conventions.
- 03 — Notes — Cross-cutting research notes, comparisons, design observations, and implementation learnings.
- Interesting Standards — ERCs and other standards that I find technically valuable.
- Improvement Proposals — EIPs proposing changes or new ideas for Ethereum.
- Technical Notes — My personal understanding of how selected proposals work and why they matter.
- Things Worth Exploring — Designs, mechanisms, and ideas I want to understand more deeply.
This is not intended to be a complete list of Ethereum standards. It is a personal, evolving collection shaped by my interests, research, and learning.
I focus on understanding the ideas behind each proposal, the problems it addresses, its potential applications, and the trade-offs involved.
Official specifications and proposal statuses are linked to their original sources.
