I have a question related to the statistics functionality ( Tools -> Statistics ...)

How does this new functionality works ?
What is the purpose of this functionality ?
(I apologize if the questions seem stupid)

Is it for testing SQLite queries ? Is it a dedicated tool to establish some statistics for instance how many items borrow by a member, etc ...

Could we have an example of use ?
