Integration of Trice with existing applications

Hi Thomas and all.
I want to ask about the Slice.exe , while working as logger that decodes messages that were sent from HW.
How can the Trice be integrated with existing tool which is existing-application that is written in RUST or C++ ?
Should I activate trice.exe from that existing application, or is there
a code package that I can add to the existing application code ?
The purpose is not activating 2 tools (trice.exe and existing app) in parallel, but one tool.

• Trice is written in Go and you can integrate its packages in other environments, if they offer a Go interface. From C it is possible to call Go via CGO.
• I am thinking about using Claude Code to derive a separate TriceLog tool from the Trice Go sources.
• Once this is working, Claude Code could help to convert the TriceLog tool Go sources into Python, C, or even Rust.
• Than an integration on source code level with a user application could be possible.
• For now, you can start the Trice executable together with CLI switches as a proces from within your app.
• The other way around is also possible:
  • Take the Trice Go code and extend it with your application functionality.
  • Go is a wonderful language and definitive worth to learn.
  • It offers also CGO as interface and allows to integrate C/C++ modules.
• Crossing the barrier between C and Go is computational expensive and should be avoided in fast running loops.
