how about using vim.fs as luarocks packege name?

[wsdjeg]

using vim as package name seens misleading and disturbing.

will it implement other vim module?

[Freed-Wu]

I consider other names, like vi, fakevim, vi.fs, or fs ...
In fact, neovim will ignore the name, that is require'vim.fs' will not load this extension.

[wsdjeg]

do you mean this module is for neovim? hmm, the module maybe should not same as built-in, it will break if the neovim including a break change to the built-in module.

if you want to use vim.fs outside of neovim. how about using nvim -l

todo

how about using nvim -l

outside of neovim means run in PUC lua/luajit, not neovim.

a break change to the built-in module.

fs.lua is copied from https://github.com/neovim/neovim/ and modified to make it work outside of neovim. We use luafilesystem to replace some functions of vim.fn.XXX and to make vim.fs work.
