The doc is outdated. There is also an issue with the way the autologin block gets populated.

Manually editing the kde_settings.conf file is the only way to get it to work

Relogin=false
Session=plasma.desktop
User=radxa

Note the plasma.desktop session. If you use the GUI that option is set to plasma and this doesn't work.

Thanks for reporting this issue. The documentation has been updated to add a troubleshooting tip for the KDE Plasma autologin session name mismatch.

The issue is that after configuring autologin via rsetup GUI, the session gets set to plasma but KDE Plasma requires plasma.desktop. The fix is to manually edit the autologin config file to use the correct session name.

Thanks for the detailed report! This is a real issue on KDE Plasma images: the autologin block written via the GUI uses session name plasma, but KDE Plasma requires plasma.desktop to actually autologin.
