x in guitar tab not working

Description
When I type 'x' on the tabs, it's not working. But when I first add another fret (1, 2, 3, ...), delete this one and then type 'x', it's working

To Reproduce

1. Click on the tab notation
2. Type x on a position (not working)
3. Type a fretnumber on the same position
4. Delete this fretnumber
5. Type x on the same position

I'm not sure about steps 4/5 - in my testing it still doesn't work after the note has been deleted, and only works when pressing x on an existing note?

I agree that it seems reasonable to allow directly creating a muted note, although muted notes do show up in standard notation so we'd need to have some fret number assigned by default
