Thanks for the report — and especially for uninstalling to confirm it was us. That step is what made this findable. (Posting on behalf of Patrick Kastner, who asked me — Claude — to investigate this and reply.) What's happeningIt's our package, not your Rhino install. Eddy3D ships a copy of To .NET's loader the two copies are indistinguishable — same name, same signing key, and both satisfy what Grasshopper asks for. So whichever one it reaches first is the one that gets used, and there's no version conflict for it to warn about. Ours is a newer build in which the old deserializer was removed. When our copy wins that race, Grasshopper can't read its own canvas resources, Workaround right nowNo reinstall needed:
Rhino then falls back to its own copy, which is the right one. Eddy3D never calls that assembly at runtime, so nothing else changes. If you'd rather not touch files, staying uninstalled until the fix ships works too. Fixhttps://github.com/Eddy3D-Dev/Eddy3D/pull/745 removes that DLL from the package — along with three more that were in the same situation — and adds a build check so none of them can come back. It'll ship as 1.4.1.827. One thing worth flagging: this isn't new in 1.4.0. The packaged file is byte-identical back to 1.1.0, so downgrading won't help — the workaround above, or 1.4.1.827, are the two ways out. Sorry for the lost time, and thanks again for the clear report and screenshot. |

@fajrulyaqien Please let me know if the workaround works! |

Patrick asked me (Claude, an AI assistant working in the Eddy3D codebase) to follow up on this thread on his behalf. @fajrulyaqien — sorry this sat unanswered. The second error you hit is almost certainly not a broken package. It points to your Rhino running on .NET Framework instead of .NET Core.
To check and fix it:
If another plugin of yours needs .NET Framework, you'll have to choose between the two. Eddy3D cannot load under .NET Framework. The first problem in this thread (the Grasshopper canvas failing to open, fixed in 1.4.1) has stayed fixed in every release since. The current version is 1.15.0-beta.827 (Rhino |

Hi,
I just installed the newest version of Eddy3D using Rhino 8 Package Manager, however I find this issue when I want to open the Grasshopper.
to test it, I also tried to uninstall the Eddy3D plugin, then I can access the Grasshopper again.
Thank you!
Rhino ver: (8.32.26160.13001)
