Thanks, but I’m reluctant to add another flag for a narrow use case. I’d like to keep the CLI simple, and I don’t think the benefit here justifies the added complexity. |

Summary
As a follow-up to the discussion in #2578, add an opt-in
--hide-captured-outputflag toprek run. When enabled, Captured Hook Output should be suppressed for every displayed hook result, including failed hooks whose output would normally be shown and hooks whose output is shown because of the global verbosity level or the hook's
verbosesetting. The flag should only suppress Captured Hook Output and should not otherwise change metadata, execution, reporting, logging, or verbosity behavior.
Motivation
Verbose output provides useful hook metadata and duration, but Captured Hook Output can be too long and noisy.
--hide-statuscannot address this because it hides the entire hook result.Usage
$ prek run --all-files --verbose --hide-captured-outputThe hook result should include its normal status and metadata without printing the Captured Hook Output.
