Missing column id's on default board columns

I found this issue when working with the fizzy cli, but the maybe, done and not now columns are missing uuid's. If you go to the https://app.fizzy.app/1/cards/<card_number>.json when it is in the maybe column the column is undefined and when you move it to a custom column it populates.

Was this a design decision to list the column id for default with just kabob case and leave the card column undefined on creation and completion?

It's not a design choice to hide ids, it falls out of the data model: Maybe, Not Now and Done aren't columns.

A card in Maybe simply has column_id = nil (belongs_to :column, optional: true, and "awaiting triage" is literally where.missing(:column)):

The card JSON only emits the key when a column exists, so those cards have no column at all:

That's why 216 has no column while in Maybe and gets one once you move it to a real column. The empty {"id": "", "name": "", ...} you see in the CLI is just its typed model rendering a missing object as zero values. The maybe / not-now / done ids in column list are made up client-side, not server ids.

So on the API side, treat a missing column as Maybe (for a published card that isn't postponed or closed). Not Now is a not_now record, so use postponed, and use the closed field for Done (a card closed from a real column keeps that column, so column isn't a reliable Done signal). The CLI-side fix is basecamp/fizzy-cli#207, which fills in the pseudo column when the API sends none.
