OK it looks like the problem isn't the in the file: Deleting that directive from the UM rose-stem site file makes the problem go away :) I haven't checked yet whether other repo's rose-stem suites have a similar problem... |

Hi folks,
I think a recent change on the Met Office hpc has banned use of the -S directive when submitting jobs to the hpc; see:
https://engage.cloud.microsoft/main/org/metoffice.gov.uk/groups/eyJfdHlwZSI6Ikdyb3VwIiwiaWQiOiIxNTk2MTgzODM4NzIifQ/new
As it stands, the Simulations Systems working practices recommend using a -S directive when launching rose-stem tests for lfric_apps, UM, etc:
https://metoffice.github.io/simulation-systems/Development/testing.html
I can confirm that my latest attempt to launch a UM rose-stem test suite using the recommended command now fails:
cylc vip -z group=developer -S USE_MIRRORS=true -n my_rose_stem_suite ./rose-stemThe rose-stem
remote_init_ex1atask on the hpc submit-fails, as expected given the change they've made to the hpc, because of the-S USE_MIRRORS=truewhich we're supposed to add to tell rose-stem to extract from the local git mirrors (recommended practice). Can anyone suggest how we should launch rose-stem now? Can we just ditch the
-S USE_MIRRORS=true?Cheers!
Mike
