Sorry for the delay in answering your question. We are not officially extending any deadlines. As I said elsewhere #4977 (comment) You must have at least one commit merged in one of the organizations to be eligible. This means, when we sit down to make decisions on applications, the PR should done. All I can say is that at time of writing, we have not made our decisions. |

Given that GSOC application period is definitely over, I am closing this issue. |

Hi! I'm Echo (they/them), a 3rd year Natural Scientist at Cambridge. I've been applying for project 5, and had my pre-proposal accepted, but after submitting that my Wifi crashed. As such, I didn't have access to Wifi for about a week and wasn't really ably to do anything on starting a PR until a few days ago.
I was wondering if it's possible to get an extension on the PR merging as I would appreciate being able to properly discuss it with mentors to get feedback, as well as to properly go over some of the documentation now that I can access it. My plan is to submit the project proposal as usual by the 8th, but I fear I don't have enough time to finish the PR in time. I put a message in issue #3603 a few days ago, and after 2 days submitted a draft of my PR - I've not gotten any responses (which is fine, a few days is not much time and I apologies for that), but having a couple extra days extension so I can start that conversation would be greatly appreciated.
TLDR: Wifi broke, is it possible to get extension on PR? I would submit project proposal normally.
